Benjamin Kramer

I am a senior at Iowa State University studying software engineering. Over the past four years, I've worked for several companies developing full-stack software, collaborated with my peers to create fun and challenging projects, taken on leadership roles within ISU, and independently pursued interests to become a better developer. I've become familiar with a wide range of software topics including artificial intelligence, computer vision, game development, computer graphics, object-oriented design, algorithm analysis, user experience and much more.

Hello, allow me to tell you a bit about myself. I am absolutely fascinated with artificial intelligence and machine learning fields. After getting my bachelors in software engineering I plan on getting my Masters in computer science with a specialization in Artificial intelligence. Throughout my courses at Iowa State and my internship experiences, I have become proficient in Java, Python, C, C++, SQL, Elasticsearch and more. I have also completed multiple graduate classes in fields like computer vision and artificial intelligence. In some of my free time, I love attending hackathons with my team. During the last hackathon, my team and I developed a self-learning neural network in Java completely from scratch. As a result of this, multiple professors have asked me to attend their graduate classes. I absolutely love being put out of my comfort zone. In my internships with Crowdfind and Raven, I was constantly exposed to new environments and new teams and thrived as a result. It's rare to see me without a smile on my face. If you're interested in me being a part of your team email me at Jrachid@iastate.edu.

I am in my senior year of software engineering at Iowa State University. My experience from classes, work, and personal projects has made me proficient in a wide set of topics, such as: software architecture, computer vision, audio/signal processing, OOP, and much more. I also have experience in developing a product from start to finish, which I learned from self-publishing a logic circuit simulation game and from my internship last summer at John Deere. The Decision Support in Racket Games project is one that closely matches my experience, since I have worked on a gameplay analyzer for the video game Super Smash Brothers Ultimate for my final project in HCI 575.
